The most useful difference between these tools is not the feature list, it is the billing unit. Four count the minutes of video you upload (Snip, Opus Clip, Vizard, Quso.ai), one counts hours of analysis (2short.ai), one counts finished clips (Klap), one counts videos with a length cap each (Submagic), one counts processing minutes inside a social platform (Munch), and one publishes no monthly ceiling at all (StreamLadder).

Distribution comes next: Klap, Quso.ai, Munch, Opus Clip, Vizard and StreamLadder publish from the tool. 2short.ai and Snip stop at the file. Price only becomes comparable after those two answers.

What the meter counts

A source-minute quota is predictable: a 50 minute talk costs 50 minutes whether it yields three clips or twenty. A clip quota rewards short heavily-cut sources and punishes long ones you take a single passage from. A video quota with a length cap, like Submagic's, assumes the file you upload is already short.

Work it out on three of your own videos rather than on a market average: add up their length and count the clips you actually shipped. That ratio separates two grids that looked equivalent.

What free means, tool by tool

Six of the nine have a recurring free offer, with very different catches: watermarks at Snip, Opus Clip, Vizard and Submagic, resolution dropped to 720p at Vizard and Quso.ai, files deleted after 3 days at Opus Clip and Vizard, 7 days at Quso.ai. 2short.ai states no watermarks across its plans, StreamLadder states no watermark on basic edits.

Klap offers one trial video and Munch a 7-day trial: those are windows, not recurring offers. The page dedicated to free plans breaks each case down.

What this page cannot tell you

Nothing about image quality, latency or how well the selected passages land. Those three depend on your source, and no written comparison substitutes for them: an interview against a plain background does not reframe like a gameplay capture. We also publish no rating, testimonial or satisfaction ranking, because we have no measurement for any of them.

Prices move. Every table carries the date it was read and a link to the official page: if a figure surprises you, the vendor's page is right and we are not.

Quso.aiFormerly vidyo.ai. Reaches well past clipping: scheduling to 6 platforms, a content planner, a brand kit and analytics.

StreamLadderThe one built for streamers: import by Twitch, YouTube or Kick clip URL, an emote maker and a montage maker.

SubmagicStrongest on captions (123 advertised languages, AI translation) and the only one with API minutes on every tier. Cutting a long video is a paid add-on.

There is no general answer, and a page that gives one is selling something. Three questions replace it: is your source long and spoken or already short, do you want to publish from the tool, and should your quota count uploaded minutes or finished clips?
